Following revised tenancy agreements that were created in 1771, Highnam Farm was established in the angle of Two Mile Lane and the Newent road. At the time it had no farmhouse and was tenanted by a Gloucester man. During the patronage of Sir Berklely William Guise, houses and buildings of a type appropriate to the enlarged farms were constructed. This included the rebuilding of the old farmhouse and outbuildings around 1805
In the mid nineteenth century, Highnam Farm was also part of the Gambier Parry Estate and covered 270 acres.
Highnam farm was one of the farms gifted to W.P.Cripps by his cousin, Thomas Mark Gambier Parry. This sold on to Speakman to continue farming. Some time later the farm was split up with the farmland sold to Keenes of Over farm but the family stayed in the house. He also sold off land to form Highnam Business Park and the Rodway Hill golf course.
