The In the early part of the twentieth century Maidenhall Farm was purchased by Bill Johnson in the mid fifties. The farm became run down and was subsequently rented by Astman’s. Bill Johnson’s daughter and grand daughter still live in a Bovis home in Highnam. The names of Bill’s daughter Mary and son Peter were attributed to two fir trees which still stand today adjacent to the location of the original farmhouse.
