Son of Walter and Susan Brain of Hartpury, husband of Fanny Maria Brain.

Died 9th May 1917 aged 29. 

Remembered with Honour Warlincourt Halte British Cemetery, Saulty, France.

 

Lance Corporal Henry Harold Crook

2943 3rd/1st Royal Gloucestershire Hussars.

Son of John and Elizabeth Crook of Gloucester, Husband of Edith Alice Crook of Mill Cottage Over.

Died 17th January 1916 aged 25 at Tidworth Camp, Wiltshire.

Remembered with Honour Holy Innocents Highnam Churchyard.

 

Private Henry Charles Cuff

14876 Depot Royal Welsh Fusiliers.

Son of Frederick and Harriett Cuff of Old Linton Cottages, Highnam.

Medically discharged 8th August 1916 and died 19th February 1917 aged 31.

Remembered with Honour Holly Innocents, Highnam Churchyard.

 

Lieutenant Herbert Pearce Ellis MC

B Squadron Royal Gloucestershire Hussars.

Son of Henry Arthur and Caroline Anne Ellis of Home Farm, Highnam.

Died 1st December 1917 aged 31.

Remembered with Honour Jerusalem Memorial

 

Trooper John Butt Ellis

380 2nd Mounted Brigade H.Q. South African Horse.

Son of Henry Arthur and Caroline Anne Ellis of Home Farm, Highnam.

Died 6th February 1917 aged 37 in East Africa.

Remembered with Honour in Dodoma Cemetery.

 

Lance Corporal Reginald John Hatch

Son of William Henry and Elizabeth Hatch of Cross roads, Highnam.

Died 13th October 1917 in France aged 24

Corporal Harry William Hyett

Son of William and Louise Hyett of Tewkesbury and Grandson of William and Martha Hyett

Of Brick House, Highnam.

Died 5th April 1917 in France aged 22
